Let alone = তো দুরের কথা

প্রয়োগক্ষেত্র : কাওকে তাচ্ছিল্ল করে বা অন্য যে বাক্যে “তো দুরের কথা” থাকলে Let alone ব্যবহার হয়

Structure: Subject + verb + easy task + let alone + hard task

                                               Example

 তুমি বাঘতো দুরের কথা একটি বিড়ালও মারতে পারবে না

You will not be able to kill a cat let alone tiger

সে লেখাতো দুরের কথা ইংরেজিতে কথাও বলতে পারে না।

He cannot speak English let alone write

 আমি মোটরসাইকেল তো দুরের কথা সাইকেলও চালাতে পারিনা

I can’t drive Cycle let alone a Motorcycle

 সে পরীক্ষায় প্রথম হওয়া তো দুরের কথা পাশই করতে পারবে না

He will not be able to pass the exam let alone stood first.
